WTA Best of 2021: Funny moments

The WTA best of 2021 series continues on mootennis.com with a selection of light-hearted moments from the season with Hsieh Su-Wei the star of the show once again. I always enjoy looking back over previous years and if you have missed any of the previous editions of funny moments, you can find them all here 🤗.

This was some of my favourite content from the quarantine down under.

2. The Murrays

4. No bagels for breakfast this morning 🥯

Have I mentioned that I adore Hsieh? 😂

Brady’s reaction to Hsieh watching her match is everything.

6. Do you like to be called Jenny or Jennifer?

This made me laugh.

8. Dasha and Anett part 1

I enjoyed Kasatkina’s savage response to this Kontaveit shot 😁.

9. Charleston does it right

Still miss the JJ-Petko good ‘ol days. This was some classic content once more from Charleston.

10. Dasha squared

Yes, this is Gavrilova producing a cut-out of Kasatkina’s face to hit balls at. Love these two.

11. Excuse me, sir!

Sabalenka successfully handling a noisy fan on his phone.

12. I’m talking too much

Mattek-Sands and Swiatek were good fun in press at Roland Garros.

The assorted reactions to a Pliskova miss in the Wimbledon final.

15. The mixed doubs medal ceremony 🥇

Team Russia were a hoot in the Olympics mixed doubles ceremony.

16. Oh come on Pam!

Shelby is great value in interviews and this was a special moment after finally beating Barty.

17. Dasha and Anett part 2

That’s some pose from Dasha to get out of the way 😂.

18. 🍺

Dylan Alcott downing a beer in his trophy on Arthur Ashe stadium was rather legendary.

19. The best food!

Sasnovich’s story about the chocolate cake. She’s great value in interviews!

20. 🐉

The only acceptable way to end this countdown of the funniest moments of the year is with Hsieh and her dragon hat at Indian Wells. She’s just so much fun.
