In case you missed it, I already recapped and shared my photos from the Kyrgios-Keys v Melzer-Strycova match HERE which felt like it warranted a post of its own. Here’s the remainder of my photos from around the grounds.
The last match of my Wimbledon 2015 live experience was the mixed doubles match on court 11 featuring Belinda Bencic and Philipp Oswald against Elina Svitolina and Dominic Inglot. Serena-Heather was going on at the time so there was no problem getting a seat on the benches. As the linesjudges got into position, one came up to me as said “you’ve got a job to do”… he wanted me to update him with the Serena-Heather score! It was quite amusing as I called out “game, set, match” and after a point, he looked at me and wanted clarification of the result.
Bencic and Oswald were superb. They were both making down-the-line winners, particularly Oswald, and Bencic was on fire at the net. It’s so easy to get great shots of Belinda as she’s smiling at least 50% of the time, especially during doubles. Svitolina looked a bit lost at the net. Inglot played a poor match and didn’t support her particularly well. He struggled in a few games at returning Bencic’s serve. Bencic and Oswald unfortunately lost in the second round of the mixed doubles.
And finally, here are a few more shots of practises and doubles action from around the grounds…
Nice photos but some of the pictures are not very sharp.
