Racket Rally standings for the Moo’s Tennis Blog league: Update 26th April, 2015

Another week passes by on Racket Rally and it was a much more successful one for moi.  Nishikori’s win in Barcelona was most helpful.  Garcia made the quarters of Stuttgart and Muguruza and Safarova both won a match.  The star of this week though was zyxn52 who scored a whopping 9540 points which was double more than anyone else managed with 37 shares in Madison Brengle and 49 shares in Carina Witthoeft.  They also had 50 shares in Bethanie Mattek-Sands… imagine if she had won her first round match!

This week i’ve made a pretty reactive move… i’ve got rid of Garcia and brought in Timea Bacsinszky.  They were pretty much the same price so it’s a pretty even swap.  I’m hoping at least one of Muguruza and Bacsinszky will make the final in Marrakech and I think Timea will do well on the clay so for now, i’m happy.

In the overall standings, we have a new entrant to the Moo’s Tennis Blog league, bosiddon who has gone flying in at the top.  I’m very unhappy about this as it just pushes me and everyone down a place! mao01dp, aka my brother, is up to 2nd place with another solid week.  He keeps jabbering on to me that he’s going to have a great week.  He’s getting all excited about Benoit Paire, but I informed him that this will only end in tears.  I’m up to 7th after a good week.  The next couple of months are going to be manic for me so it’s likely i’ll have to make the Racket Rally updates fortnightly from now on…
