When I saw Radwanska vs Schmiedlova… I had one thought, Aga better win is straight sets. The game is very physical – and she will have to accept – that she needs to change her racquet. By the time she gets to these 3rd sets, she is tired from working so hard, and not getting any help from her racquet – unlike the rest of the tour. So in the third, she has to deal with the energy she has already spent, and no help from her racquet. It’s a losing combination. A racquet switch – from her lite racquet to on with more power with rectify both problems.

Schmiedlova will continue to grow stronger. I don’t really think this is an upset. I have followed Schmiedlova for a while. Clearly, she will reach top 10 in a year time unless something happen to her. It is not about racquet. She was outplayed by a young and better opponent.

Flavia will beat BB. It is a bad match up. Like Schmiedlova and Begu.
Keys should beat JJ but I am not sure if the “real” Keys will show up to play.
Gavrilova v. Knapp – can go either way.
