Absolutely glorious… the final match of the day in Doha saw Agnieszka Radwanska come from a set down to beat Roberta Vinci, 3-6 6-2 6-3. It was a wonderful, wonderful match with some SENSATIONAL shotmaking and over 100 (!) net approaches between the pair. Here’s a collection of Twitter highlights from one of, if not, the best match of the year so far… but seriously, go and watch it from start to finish. You won’t regret it…

Found the match online, have started watching and transcribing it for the TennisAbstract match charting project, and am loving it. By the 6th point I was already asking myself if a backwards-facing one-handed backhand flick lob by Aga counts as a trick shot for the purposes of notation, which is always a good sign. Thanks for the recommendation, James!
