Simona Halep has confirmed her place in the semi-finals of the WTA Championships in Singapore, but the remaining three spots are up for grabs on Friday as round robin action concludes. In my trio of previews, I included polls for each match, but I also thought it would be handy to chuck in a few polls for who you think will qualify for the semi-finals. I’m going for Caroline Wozniacki, Petra Kvitova and Ana Ivanovic. Thank you so much for all the comments this week, they have been greatly appreciated. Hey Moo! I’m going for 1. Halep (so happy that one of my most favourite players was able to deliver) and 2. Williams, and for the other group 1. Kvitova 2. Wozniacki. My wish for the final would be Halep against Kvitova 🙂 Then I’d just watch the final and am happy whoever wins 😛
I wanna see Serena in the semis (against Petra), so I think Simona is having another 2 set win. Sharapova in three against Radwanska (or Kerber getting the chance to play) and Kvitova in three against Wozniacki!
Unfortunately, I haven’t seen any of the matches, only highlights in the evening. With the time difference it’s impossible for me to watch tennis as I’m at work. Maybe I can catch up with some tennis tomorrow morning before work. It seems to me that the finals have been so unpredictable this year – which I like and which is good for the sport as well I think. All in all stunning effort from Simona – however she has done it. Lots of credit to her for being composed in the 2nd set. We all know that Serena can pull a comeback at any time of the match no matter the scoreline and no matter how badly she feels or how badly she plays!
