Have you ever dreamt of hitting with a professional tennis player? Well now you can through the TECHO Breakpoint online auction! TECHO, is a non-profit organization that seeks to overturn poverty in disadvantaged areas of Latin America. Breakpoint is an initiative that invites the world’s top tennis players to join the fight against poverty. This year’s online-only auction features memorabilia and one-hour tennis matches with professional tennis players from across the globe.
Some of the players involved include Boris Becker, Feliciano López, Ivan Ljubicic, Roberto Bautista Agut, Santiago Giraldo, Paula Ormaechea among others. To view the online auction, you can click on the link HERE. It also includes items like Andy Murray’s racket, Rafael Nadal and Gael Monfils’ shirt, and Maria Sharapova’s racket. The auction will close in October 22 and all the funds raised will finance Haiti’s community development programs.
With the collaboration of professional tennis players, the organization will raise funds to empower families living in poverty in the communities where TECHO works in Haiti. All the funds raised in the auction will finance TECHO’s community development programs in the organized slums where the organization works in Haiti, including education and community infrastructure programs.
