The story of Jim, the Londoner who strings at Wimbledon

I have received quite a few requests lately about sharing material and every now and then, one catches my eye.  Below is ‘Jim’, which is a brand new doucmentary posted as part of 1000 Londoners, the most in-depth and expansive documentary series ever produced about a city. Produced by Chocolate Films it comprises a new, digital channel focusing on creating video portraits of Londoners.  As you may have guessed, this one focuses on tennis!

Jim quit his job in banking to follow his passion and become a tennis coach. But when his knees could no longer stand 50 hours on the courts each week, he turned to racket stringing.  Jim now strings for the world’s greatest players such as Nadal and Murray, reaching their exacting standards with astonishing speed and accuracy.
