What’s in store for the 2017 tennis season on Moo’s Tennis Blog

The 2017 tennis season is pretty much here and after a much needed break, Moo’s Tennis Blog will once again spring into life. 2017 will be a quieter year for me in terms of visiting tournaments but i’ll definitely be doing Eastbourne again. Normally I stay for the first half of the tournament but since I love the tournament so much and my birthday is on semi-finals day, I thought i’d go for the whole week.

My highlight of 2016 was visiting New York and the US Open, and I am now 75% on the way to completing the Peeling Slam. Also, covering the Aegon International in Eastbourne as media was my biggest achievement so far with the blog. It was terrifying, but good terrifying! My goal for the week was to ask a question in a press conference – i’m not very confident so I was really pleased to do it!

I’ve been working behind the scenes to update the blog during the off-season. In the Features section of the toolbar, all the pages have been tidied up including WTA on Social Media which now includes Instagram pages. All my experiences from Wimbledon, the French Open, the US Open and Eastbourne can be found under Tournament Experiences, as well guest posts from readers. I’m always open to any questions so if you need any tips about visiting tournaments please don’t hesitate to get in contact.

Thanks to Tom, Morgan, Mitch, Jake, Murphy and Marc for contributing guest posts of their tennis experiences in 2016 from a range of tournaments including the Australian Open and Stuttgart. If anyone is visiting a tournament in 2017 and would like to write about their experiences then please get in touch using the social media pages below or by e-mail at MooTennisBlog@gmail.com.

2017 will be more of the same on the blog with continued coverage of the WTA tour. I’m not going to hide that I am very concerned for the first few months of the season as I used to watch all WTA tennis on TennisTV. We’ll see how it goes…

I’ll be posting on my social media pages during the year and i’m excited to have a new platform to share content as Moo’s Tennis Blog is now on Instagram.

  1. So much looking forward! I’ll let you know which tournaments I’m going to visit (I’d love to do another guest post). Nothing’s planned yet but I think I might opt for some ATP tournaments, WTA Stuttgart and another WTA tournament as I will have more freetime 🙂
